Nispaksha

These terms govern your use of Nispaksha (the app, the website at nispaksha.app, and related services). By installing the app or using the website you agree to these terms.

1. Use of the service

You agree to use Nispaksha for personal, non-commercial reading. Specifically, you will not:

  • attempt to access, probe, or scrape the API outside the app;
  • impersonate another user;
  • upload, submit, or transmit content that is unlawful, defamatory, or that infringes the rights of others;
  • automate account creation or reading activity.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

2. Content & attribution

Nispaksha aggregates publicly-published article metadata (headline, summary, publisher, time, thumbnail) from 19 Nepali newsrooms. Every article in the app links back to the publishing newsroom; the full article body is read on the publisher’s own page. We do not claim ownership of publisher content. Copyright remains with each publisher.

If you are a publisher and would like your content excluded, or if you believe your copyright has been infringed, email support@nispaksha.app with the URL and the basis of the claim. We will respond within 7 business days.

3. The daily audio brief

The audio brief is generated by a language model each morning from publicly-available article metadata. It is intended as a short orientation, not a substitute for the original reporting, and is published automatically without per-brief human review. Errors of fact will happen; please report them via /support and we will push a correction in the next publish.

4. Accounts

You are responsible for the activity on your account. Authentication is delegated to Firebase Auth; we follow Firebase’s security model.

5. Account deletion

You may delete your account at any time via the app or at /delete. See the Privacy Policy for retention details.

6. No warranty

Nispaksha is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will surface every relevant story.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nispaksha and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service. Aggregate liability is capped at the greater of NPR 1,000 or the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months (the service is free at launch).

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Nepal. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Kathmandu.

9. Changes

We will revise these terms as the product changes. Material changes will be announced in the app’s release notes; continued use after a revision constitutes acceptance.
